Back ground and experience

I studied Human Nutrition and Dietetics at degree level in Glasgow and qualified in 1986. Since then I have worked in a number of places around the UK including The Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.

In my last NHS role, I was Chief Dietitian at The John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, which is one of the largest teaching Trusts within the UK. I was responsible for 40 Registered Dietitians working within the Nutrition and Dietetic Service.  I have worked within a number of specialist areas over the years, including intensive care, coronary care, renal medicine, liver medicine, diabetes, gastroenterology, urology, weight management, psychiatry and eating disorders, to name just a few. I have advised everyone from weightlifters to film stars.

I was a full member of the BDA, (The Association of UK Dietitians). BDA Membership number: 2791. I was registered with the Health & Care Professions Council: Registration number: DT03980. I carry full professional insurance and am qualified to advise on ANY aspects of nutrition and dietetic care. Now swapped to Common Law Court Registration instead.
