Ginger may be 10,000 x stronger than chemotherapy in the cancer research model

Early days yet but interesting research!  – A new study published in PLoS reveals a component within ginger known as 6-shogaol is superior to conventional chemotherapy in targeting the root cause of breast cancer malignancy: namely, the breast cancer stem cells. This compound is available in both powdered and cooked ginger and at levels of intake which are not toxic to healthy cells.

Mediterranean diet is linked to a larger brain volume

It would appear that eating a Mediterranean diet will reduce brain aging by approximately 5 years and is associated with larger brain volumes, according to one recent study.

According to some something like 60% of what may be absorbed by your skin could end up in your bloodstream.

Alice Bast, founder/president of the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA) says, “if you’re sensitive to gluten, you should be using gluten-free cosmetics and toiletries. Even if you don’t experience any symptoms, you could be doing damage on the inside.”
